Does Pax Autocratica have controller support? Yes, and it is one of the few things about this game confirmed in a form that leaves no room for interpretation — it is a Steam store category, not a marketing sentence.

“Full” is the meaningful word. Steam distinguishes it from partial controller support, and full means the game is playable with a controller including menus — not just during gameplay with a mouse still needed for the interface.
That is a notable claim for this game specifically, because it is a hybrid: a first-person shooter bolted to a colony management sim. The management half normally lives on mouse and keyboard. Full support means Multiverse built controller navigation for the colony interface too.
Does Pax Autocratica support PlayStation controllers? Yes — DualShock and DualSense are listed individually, which typically indicates native handling and correct button prompts rather than generic mapping.
What Is Not Listed
Section titled “What Is Not Listed”Steam’s categories confirm support exists. They say nothing about its depth, and Multiverse has published nothing further.
Can you remap controls in Pax Autocratica? Not announced. No information exists on rebinding, sensitivity or dead-zone settings, aim assist, gyro aiming, adaptive trigger or haptic use on DualSense, Xbox controller specifics, or any accessibility options.

Is Pax Autocratica Steam Deck Verified?

That is expected rather than concerning: Valve normally assigns ratings around or after release, and the game enters Early Access on August 10, 2026. Two known facts are relevant in the meantime — the game is Windows-only, with no macOS or Linux build listed, and the system requirements list a GTX 1060 6GB as the 1080p minimum, which is demanding for Deck hardware.
Neither fact settles the question. Anyone currently telling you the game is Deck Verified is making it up.
Test It Free Before You Buy
Section titled “Test It Free Before You Buy”You do not have to trust a store page. The free Prologue has been available on Steam since December 1, 2025 and carries the same controller support entries as the main game.
That makes controller support one of the easiest things to verify yourself: install the Prologue at no cost, plug in your pad, and check menu navigation and aiming feel before Early Access. Worth testing specifically how the colony management screens handle on a controller, since that is where hybrid games usually struggle.
Note that the price of the Early Access release has not been announced, so the Prologue is currently the only way to evaluate anything about this game at a known cost.
