Pax Autocratica Release Date: Out Now

Pax Autocratica is out now — Steam Early Access launched August 10, 2026 at $29.99 with a 17% two-week launch discount. Unlock times and delay history.

The Pax Autocratica release date is August 10, 2026, when the game enters Steam Early Access. The date is listed on the official Steam store page and was reconfirmed — with exact unlock times and pricing — in Multiverse’s official announcement of July 22, 2026.

Worth stating plainly, because the date moved several times earlier this year and some news coverage still describes it as “delayed with no new date”: August 10 is the current, confirmed date, and the developer has now attached launch times and a price to it.

Pax Autocratica’s Early Access date was rescheduled three times before settling on August 10. Every step below is sourced from an official Steam announcement:

Date announced Early Access date Official announcement
December 15, 2025 February 2, 2026 Early Access Date Confirmed
January 13, 2026 Moved to March 4, 2026 Deployment Rescheduled
February 10, 2026 Moved to May 7, 2026 Deployment Update
April 21, 2026 Postponed with no date — “our current plan is still to launch this summer” Deployment Update
July 22, 2026 August 10, 2026 — with price and regional unlock times Price, Launch Time & New Trailer

The stated reasons across those announcements were consistent: balancing, stability, onboarding polish and player-feedback work, backed by a visible stream of demo updates. The April announcement was unusually direct — “we are postponing Early Access again, and we are not announcing the new release date today… the actual release will happen only when the build is ready.”

What makes August 10 more solid than the earlier dates: it is the only one Multiverse has ever attached exact regional unlock times and a launch price to.

What time does Pax Autocratica release? Multiverse published the exact unlock schedule in the July 22 announcement:

Region Unlock time
North America August 10, 8:00 AM PT / 11:00 AM ET
United Kingdom August 10, 4:00 PM BST
Central Europe August 10, 5:00 PM CEST
China / Singapore August 10, 11:00 PM
Japan / South Korea August 11, 12:00 AM

The same announcement confirmed the launch price — $29.99 USD with a 17% discount for the first two weeks. Details on the price page.

This is not a 1.0 release. Pax Autocratica is tagged Early Access on Steam, which means the August 10 build is a playable but unfinished version that will keep changing.

Multiverse expects the game to remain in Early Access for approximately two years, and says directly that this timeframe may change with development progress and player feedback. No 1.0 or full-release date exists. Any site presenting a specific “full launch” date is inventing it.

What that means practically: expect content, balance and systems to shift after launch. Multiverse states directly that Prologue content and balance may change before the Early Access release, so the same applies afterwards.

Milestone Status
Free Prologue release Released December 1, 2025
Early Access launch August 10, 2026 — confirmed with unlock times
Early Access duration Approximately two years (official estimate, may change)
1.0 / full release date Not announced by Multiverse
Console versions Not announced by Multiverse

The most useful thing to know before August 10 is that you do not have to wait.

Pax Autocratica: Prologue is a free, stand-alone release that has been on Steam since December 1, 2025. It is not a timed demo and it does not require buying anything. It has 144 user reviews with a Steam rating of Very Positive.

The Prologue contains a limited portion of the full game — smaller base scale, smaller battles, and some advanced systems missing. The Prologue guide covers what is in it, and Prologue vs Early Access covers precisely what Multiverse says is not.

The Steam page confirms Windows only. macOS and Linux are both listed as unsupported.

There is no announced PlayStation 5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck version, and no Steam Deck compatibility rating. Because the game is unreleased, an unrated Deck status is normal rather than a signal.

Supported languages at launch are English (with full audio support), Simplified Chinese, French and German. If you are checking whether to buy on day one rather than only when it unlocks, pair the timing with the confirmed launch price and the single-player-only launch status.

Now confirmed by the July 22 announcement:

  • Price. $29.99 USD / €29.99 / £24.99 / ¥108, with a 17% discount for the first two weeks. See the price page.
  • Launch times. Published for five regions — see the table above.

Still not official, and commonly filled in by guide sites anyway:

  • Multiplayer or co-op at launch. The store lists Single-player only; co-op is an official Early Access development goal with no date. See the multiplayer page.
  • 1.0 price, and whether the price rises after Early Access. Not announced.
  • Achievements, trading cards, mod support, console commands. None announced.
  • Roadmap detail, sector count, content cadence. Not announced.

Based only on what is confirmed, here is a realistic picture for August 10.

You will be buying into an Early Access build from a developer that has already shipped and maintained a free Prologue for over eight months. The systems are not a mystery — colony building, citizen management through fear or comfort, expeditions into the Tyris System, and first-person roguelite combat with cores are all playable right now in the Prologue.

The parts that will be new are the ones Multiverse explicitly excluded from the Prologue: deeper automation, mechs, and other late-game mechanics, plus larger base and battle scale.

If you want to arrive prepared rather than reading launch-day guesses, the beginner guide is built entirely on systems you can practise now.
